E-cigs: It is definitely better than cigarette as the tar is removed which is the more carcinogenic part. It should be used in decremental manner to get off smoking . It is still addicting as it has the nicotine. It causes vasoconstriction and increase in blood pressure, it causes deposition of cholesterol in blood vessels, and despite not known to be carcinogenic it may trigger cancer cells to multiply.

Regardless: All forms of smoking are associated with bad affects from second hand smoke to lightest tar amount. These health hazards are evident regardless of the source of the smoke, pipe, cigarets, vapor pipe or hookah. Regardless, they all contain unhealthy chemicals. Try to quit smoking. Ask your PCP for help and referral to CBT.

Education &amp; support: Nicotine replacement (gum or patch) continues the addiction to nicotine. At some point u will have to go through withdrawal. Smoking cessation programs often offer gum &amp; patch but u can quit w just the support &amp; education.  There's also nicotine anonymous, based on the 12 steps of aa. Wellbutrin (bupropion) &amp; Chantix r meds that can help w cravings but neither works 4 everyone. Nic cravings r only 3-5 mins.

Unknown: There is very little known about effects of vapor in the short term or long term. They haven't been around long enough. . There are ones without nicotine or with different amounts of nicotine, but any of them have other chemicals in them if nothing more than the flavoring and as far as I know there is no information about these other chemicals and no quality control

Very unlikely: For some who are very atopic or allergic it's possible that their airways or mucous membranes might be irritated by the "flavoring"/fragrance.  It is also possible for people with sensitive lungs like those with asthma to possible get a flare related to steam - but again this is uncommon.  Most likely this won't cause any issues. Lead poisoning?: The lead in leaded crystal decanters can leach into wine, spirits &amp; vinegar stored in them for a long time. Vapor pens manufactured in the US don&#x27;t contain lead. Check with the vendor of the pen for country of origin &amp; length of time the liquid stayed in the pen. It&#x27;s highly unlikely, but ask your doctor for a blood lead level if you&#x27;re worried.

Vapors: This appears to be asked for a 14 year old male - so I will provide a response. These vapors can act as pulmonary irritants - so do not recommend it for individuals with asthma. Do NOT recommend any type of vapors/smoking for a 14 year old boy.

Cancer is not the : Only risk from using tobacco products. Nicotine affects cardiovascular system and is likely a cause of heart disease. Avoid tobacco in any form.

Presumably...: We presume that vapor cigarettes are safer than regular cigarettes but we technically don't know the safety of the vapor so we can't yet truly be sure.
