Uncontrolled bp: Uncontrolled blood pressure may need increased dose or addition of another class of medicine. Make appointment with your doctor. Your leg swelling may be from venous
insufficiency or the uncontrolled blood pressure itself might cause the swelling. Other causes from kidney and liver also need to be excluded.

Water pills: Water pills are primarily used for swollen ankles and high blood pressure,  however they are also used to loose weight.  They cause you to urinate more frequently which decreases fluids in your body.

Yes: Diuretics are used frequently for "fluid on lungs". The cause of this finding however should be diagnosed and treated as well since diuretic therapy is not always going to treat the underlying problem.

Yes: If you are on a diuretic (= "strong water pill") such as lasix, (furosemide) or zaroxylyn for instance, and not "peeing", that is not a good sign.  Either you are very intravascularly volume depleted, and/or become intolerant to the said diuretic. You need to see your MD asap and/or the prescribing doctor ASAP.

Depends on which one: Hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene, & Amiloride do not cause birth defects per some studies. Older studies raised concerns that thiazide diuretics might cause thrombocytopenia, but subsequent studies have shown that there is no decrease in platelets. Altho diuretics do affect the plasma volume expansion of normal pregnancy, this has not been correlated with a negative effect on fetal growth. [nih].

what to do if i have serious allergy to toradol, can i take a water pill?

Question unclear: Toradol is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain reliever.Taking a 'water pill' would likely have no effect on an allergic reaction.Anti-histamines like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may help-but if the allergy is 'severe' you risk anaphylaxis w/asphyxiation or a Stevens-Johnson type reaction, among others.Seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY if you have taken Toradol &amp; are swelling, having difficulty breathing, etc.
