last wed after excersise i noted my calf muscle was sore and tight the next day. it got a bit better and easier to walk, however tomorrow is a week later and i still have tightness and pain when i move my leg, waking isn't as sore, there is bruising?

Consider evaluation: Could be a pulled muscle but there is also a concern of a possible blood clot in your leg.

Exercise: Ok in general to walk long distances as long as you build up gradually, provide adequate rest, hydration, and nutrition. Also best to take a day or so off a week to prevent overuse injuries. Do cross training.

Calf muscle cramps: Likely you are complaining of localized gastrocnemius muscle cramping that occurred at night. This can often wake one up from a deep sleep. Gentle stretching of calf muscle and hydration and balanced diet to restore normal electrolyte balance will help. NSAIDs may help as well. If not better in several days, seek medical evaluation.

Decrease training...: Aches and pains can happen with repeated stress to a body part. For workers, it can be called a work injury. In sports, it's called an overuse injury. A primary care doctor or a sports medicine doctor can evaluate to see what needs to be done. Usually, anti-inflammatory meds like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen) are used for a 3-5 days, along with decreasing the training. Icing right after training may also help.

Varies: There are multiple potential causes, including potential vascular or electrolytes abnormalities.  A good medical check up would be an appropriate place to start.

Probably not: The masseuse probably bruised you. Watch the bruise over the next few days to make sure it begins to disappear. If you easily bruise, you may want to be evaluated by your doctor as this may be a sign of anemia or other illness. But no need to worry at this time as you have a reason for this bruise.

Sore calves: On  recent medicine like cipro/ levaquin (levofloxacin) that  causes achilles tendonitis?  Recent increase in  exercise? Consider achilles tendonitis, gastrocnemius Baker's cyst , electrolyte deficiency  especially if you run and drink only water and do not alternate water with electrolyte solutiion like gatorade/ pedialyte, rarely rupture, clot, hematoma. Check potassium, sodium , mg ,Ca . F/U w doc/urgent care

sore right tonsil and sore calf muscle. are they related?

Unlikely: I can't think of a thing that would put the two issues together. If you had fever, swollen tonsils & calf pain i would thing influenza b, but  a single calf /tonsil just doesn't do it.

Need more info: If you have been doing more exercise than usual, that can explain it. If you are sendentery or immobile, or if there is any swelling of the calf, best to see your doctor about this.
