Further testing: Your description suggests potential sensitivity to nerve compression, and raises question of possible peripheral neuropathy, even of small fibre origin.  Cannot help confirm ms, as you could possess brain lesions of alternative cause.  You can sort all of this out with EMG study, maybe skin punch biopsy, and even spinal fluid analysis.  Discuss thee issues with your neurologist.

: It is not feasible to provide exact diagnosis herein, but your arm numbness may well be a pinched nerve at elbow.  Should check neck for potential cervical stenosis.  Your complaints would not likely point to MS, but if concerned, could see a local neurologist.

See a doctor: Any type of numbness in the extremities can be a result of direct trauma or indirect sources from the upper or lower back.  I would seek an answer asap because waiting may delay the healing or create a permanent injury that will not resolve.

Position: If you arms are numb when waking i would consider the position your hand are in while sleeping.   If arms and feet i would consider the possibility that you are breathing off carbon dioxide while sleeping and causing hyperparesthesia or 'numbness' due to the change in the ph of the blood.  This can happen by breathing too shallow and too freguently while awake.

can sleeping with your leg hanging off the bed make your foot fall asleep or be numb? my 6 year old son has been waking up to a sleeping leg and numb foot sensation that resolves after a minute. he sleeps on his back and at times half off the bed?

Minor problem: Amazingly, 6 yo sons are very resilient.  A compression of a nerve will readily reverse, but in older folks, there could be residual neurapraxia on occasion, even when falling asleep with legs crossed.  So, do not worry about your child.  He should do quite well, and assuming absence of nerve disease in your family, there is truly almost no risk.

Parathesias: Your symptoms most likely go along with some sort of a nerve impingement syndrome.  Have the Dr evaluate you for this and an EMG might be needed to further clarify the severity of it.  best wishes.

Fibromyalgia: Is a generalized systemic condition that is characterized by widespread aching or pain throughout the body. A feeling of numbness, tingling in the hands and feet is not uncommon. In addition to widespread pain of more than 3 months duration, current criteria for fm requires the presence of 11 out of 18 specifically defined tender points.

Needs evaluation: This merits a careful evaluation by ones doctor or by a neurologist.  Among the most common causes of numbness of limb(s) upon awakening are pressure upon a nerve, often as the nerve root exits the spine, or a transient effect of a more peripheral nerve compression.  Underlying spinal stenosis is common.  Other causes are less common.
