is it normal to have several nightmares every night and wake up not feeling rested at all? i sleep around 4 to 5 hours everyday and i feel dizzy?

: No. The pattern suggests unresolved or unrealized stressors in your life. The dizziness could be explained by inadequate restorative sleep or an illness. Go see your doc &amp; if the checkup is okay ask for a referral to a life coach/therapist that can teach you stress management skills. During the process you may uncover the triggers to your nightmares.

At age 34, unresolved emotional conflicts, stressors of relationships,. Marriage, Separation, divorce, parenting, work, finances and children leaving home can cause emotional turmoil affecting sleep,  cause 
physical symptoms and  anxiety.

Seizure equivalent?: My first concern here is seizure equivalents in the temporal lobe.  A physician's office visit and likely referral to a neurologist and/or getting an electroencephalogram would be in order first.

3 1/2 year old: If you have a prolonged repetitive nightmare see the psychiatrist because your mind is expressive a suppressed condition and you need to resolve it.

There are at least three types of dizziness:  feeling light headed when you stand up quickly; the sensation of the room spinning (standing or other positions); and the feeling that you are wobbly or "off balance" as you walk.  If you are talking about the room spinning and this has been going on for a while, you should probably be seen.
