No neg interactions: Vortioxetine is an SSRI anti depressant, lorazepam is a benzodiazepine anxiety-reducing medication. Discuss with your doctor whether it makes sense to be taking both at once. There aren't specific harmful drug interactions.

: Vortioxetine[  [ Trintellix-Brintellix]   is an antidepressant that modulates ones serotonin levels. It is recommended that Benzodiazepines and other anxiolytic medications such as alprazolam and clonazepam be used for anxiety and panic attacks. Consult your PCP before taking any medications and understand their side effects.

: I am not quite sure vortioxetine is effective for alleviating the withdrawal symptoms of a benzo drug. Take care.

: Tho not approved for anxiety- it has been used for general anxiety disorder.

: Vortioxetine is sometimes called a serotonin modulator and stimulator. Its action does not involve glutamate which is the major excitatory neurotransmitter. Take care.

Good question.: The dose of Cymbalta is high. The high dose and the combination with Trintellix is unusual and carries risks, one of which is serotonin syndrome.  But the reasons for those medicines and the way the risks apply to you -- these are individual matters to be discussed with the prescribing doctor.

: Paroxetine is an SSRI. Vortioxetine acts in a similar fashion. Paroxetine's side effects range from drowsiness, insomnia, weight gain, sexual dysfunction, and GI upset; however Vortioxetine only has the latter two.  Paroxetine is used for many conditions including MDD and anxiety, but Vortioxetine is marketed only for MDD. There is a strong risk for Serotonin syndrome if taken together

i have been on vortioxetine antidepressant for a month and have lots of bruising and easily bleeding. it lists this as a possible side effect? danger?

Yes: If you take a medication such as aspirin or a blood thinner such as coumadin that interacts with the antidepressant you are taking ans can cause bleeding such as gi bleeding. You may be better off if  switched to a non ssri antidepressant by your doctor. Your doctor can taper you off from you current medication and put you on a non ssri antidepressant. Contact to your doctor to discuss.

which drug is more preferred and effective for treating major depressive disorder with ocd symptoms and severe anxiety?paroxetine or vortioxetine? i used to use cipralex for many years and recently i am suffering from jaw stiffness and dysarthria?

: If cipralex (an SSRI) is effective but it needs to be changed due to side effects then you should try a different SSRI which will be paroxetine. Good luck.
