See a Provider: Something is going on and it may be a Pregnancy. Some women have implantation bleeding about the time of their cycle. Some women have bleeding during the first few months of pregnancy . You need to see someone to figure out what is going on!

Have to wait: Emergency contraception works best if taken within 72 hours.  Vomiting is a common side-effect of the medication.  She will have to wait to see if she gets her period.  She should go to a doctor or clinic to get on a reliable method of birth control if she is going to continue to be sexually active.  Finally, I urge her to insist that her partner wear a condom to help prevent STDs.

Ovulation -vomiting: A cyst (follicle) ruptures each month as you ovulate. .  The follicle ruptures and causes pain or discomfort. In some women, this severe pain and prostaglandins that are released causes nausea. This may be worse in women with endometriosis. Using ibuprofen, naproxen, or some type of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent will relieve the pain and may ease the vomiting.

Hard to guess: Fever, chills, aches, cold symptoms together are called a flu-like illness. Many causes exist, mostly infectious, sometimes not. With mild symptoms, we call it a cold or upper respiratory infection. With moderate or severe symptoms, we call it the flu. Sometimes a flu-like illness lasts a few days, other times 2 weeks. If symptoms started in the last 2 days, a doctor may use Tamiflu if influenza.

Nausea/diarrhea : Possible, but unlikely. Seems unrelated to ovulation.

Symptoms: are not at all unusual with ovulation, generally some back pain (one sided) or less commonly abdominal pain.  Nausea and Vomiting are much less common (but could be explained by the hormonal changes which occur. A frank discussion with your GYN is recommended!  Hope this is helpful!

Yes but: If you had intercourse with ovulation, you could be pregnant, but the hormone changes would not be detectable yet. Even blood tests don't show any changes until 6-8 days after ovulation. Could be stomach flu; can sometimes be nerves or stress.

Pregnant: Certainly could be. However, the symptoms could be non specific.The test will tell you. Good luck!
