i am taking 1 vitamin tablet per day, containing b1, b6 and b12 for  telogen effluvium. is it harmful as  i have ckd?

Listen to your body: Generally water soluble vitamins are safe if not given in excess dose. There is no evidence that vitamins help telogen effluveum.  Take steps to improve your over-all health and especially your kidneys. See the book coping with kidney disease by mackensie walser.

how do i stop my eyebrow hair loss? it was caused by using retinol cream which i stopped immediately after. only my eyebrows have been falling for four months now. is this telogen effluvium? am i deficient in any vitamins? any thyroid or iron issues?

: Highly unlikely Telogen Effluvium, Thyroid etc.
Likely an irritant reaction only,possibly Retin A related.
Be very gentle with your eyebrows now  and hopefully they will regrow normally over the next 6 months

Not height growth: Most people reach their maximum height in their late teens. Without nutritional problems or chronic childhood illnesses, height is largely based on genetics and parental heights. Aside from eating right, exercising, sleeping well, and being happy, there's not much a child nor his doctor can do to increase height. By age 20 neither serenoa repens (saw palmetto) nor anything else will affect height.

Yes, causes problems: Depakote clearly causes hair loss.  Generally, stops falling out within a couple of weeks.  If after 2 months still falling out then, you need to see a doctor.

: It's not very common in anyone. However, if you feel that you might have this condition, I suggest that you verify this with your dermatologist and, if necessary, be treated appropriately.

Growing hairs?: With telogen effluvium, the spots you develop can be without hair for several months.  When the hairs start to grow again, they will of course be very short, but they will regrow to normal length eventually.  This growth can take many months however, so patience is needed.  Hair grows very slowly, unfortunately.

Yes : Treated usually by eliminating the underlying problem. Caused by physical or emotional stress, so any significant disease or illness may be the culprit. See your doctor.

Telogen effluvium: Because telogen effluvium is a reactive process, which resolves spontaneously, treatment usually is limited to reassurance. Any reversible cause of hair shedding, such as poor diet, iron deficiency, hypothyroidism, or medication use, should be corrected. In our clinic we use B12 shots once a month which helps.
