R/O BELLS PALSY: Unilateral facial weakness can be secondary to a sub clinical  HSV infection. Bell's palsy can respond to Prednisone /Valtrex combo. You need a prompt Exam and Labs. Bells Palsy if recurrent can be Secondary to LYME DISEASE. Also unilateral Facial weakness can be a sign of a CVA. Seek prompt medical evaluation.

Trigeminal Neuralgia: Your symptoms may be a neurological ailment called trigeminal neuralgia.  Not a very well understood problem and should see your doctor, who may then possibly refer to a neurologist.  There can be a TMJ relation, but tn, associated with bell's palsy, can create symptoms that mimic tmj/tmd.  Bell's palsy is not well understood either and may come and go.  Seems like you might be improving though.

You don't: You likely have herpes oticus, not bell's palsy.  Bell's palsy is a facial nerve palsy in which the cause cannot be determined.  Herpes oticus causes a painful seventh nerve palsy and is treated with antiviral medications.  Regardless, your treatment needs to be determined by your physician who monitor the progress.

OK: Bell's palsy often takes many weeks to resolve. A small percentage of cases will improve but never totally resolve. I don't know of any reason to change the timing of your hair extensions. Just be sure you're getting enough rest.

Need an exam: Bell's palsy is a viral infection involving the facial nerve.  If one examines the surrounding nerves closely the infection will also have subtle effects on these nerves as well. Tinnitus can be caused by injury to the nerve to the ear which is beside the facial nerve.  If you have not had an evaluation you should have an MRI scan of the area as well as an audiogram and see an ent.
