Vit D unlikely : Vitamin D is an unlikely cause of skin rash. Something in the vitamin pill may cause a rash if you happen to be allergic to the non-vitamin ingredient in the pill.

No, but...: In these cases, the symptoms may or may not be just a concidence rather than caused by a vitamin product. Exam may be needed. If a person has a well-balanced diet, then he may not need a multivitamin because his foods contain enough. One can take vitamins if he does not have a truly balanced diet. Some people need extra vitamin D, calcium, folate, omega3, etc..., depending on individual issues.

Avoid vit e cream: Take an antihistamine to seeif this helps and if it is itching use an stringent called witch hazel.  Aveeno (oatmeal) bath oil is also good to use in the bath.

Pityriasis alba: It sounds like you're describing pityriasis alba. Pityriasis alba is a condition that results from dry skin and is very common in children.  It is a patchy lightening of the skin (not a starchy white depigmentation of the skin). It is not scaly and is usually asymptomatic. It tends to look worse in the summer as the affected skin does not tan.  Most cases resolve in puberty when skin becomes oily.

i started taking vitamin d as blood tests show insufficient, 1 month 1 week in i notice patches of rash. can vitamin d give me skin problems? i'm also on magnesium citrate for sleep and gallbladder problems. should i stop 1 or both? thank you

Complicated: You have significant vit d deficiency and  i would suggest that you take vitamin d3 instead of d2 and get another level in about 2 months to assess the status.  Consider taking calcium supplement also.  I have seen itchy skin lesions which subsided after adequate vitamin d3 supplement.  You do need to check with your doctor and make sure that you don't have osteoporosis

Possible but unlikel: If you are taking whopping doses which many people do, quite foolishly, then it is possible to have an adverse cutaneous reaction. Keeping the dose to 100% in a vitamin form and supplementing with dietary intake is more than adequate. Anything else is simply overkill and unnecessary.

Vit C Could: I think you are saying "diaper rashes"   And yes the vitamin C could definitely cause a diaper rash due to its acidity.  I would discontinue its use.

Not likely: None of vitamin overdosages are characterized by skin growths.  You need to consult with your doctor.
