55 yr old female. on my right breast, in the middle of my nipple there is a blueish color spot. it does not hurt. the nipple seemed dry a few weeks ago and i've been putting vitamin e on it?

: I doubt its significance or the change is related to vitamin E lotion. However, I would suggest to stop this lotion and watch the site for now. If nipples become dry again, you can use vaseline jelly. If any further change occurs you can see your doctor by then.

Unclear ??: Did you say you have taken vitamin-e or not yet? If it has been tried and did not help, ask your gynecologist to give you a short course of hormones which can often relive this type of pain in the best which is quite common(called mastalgia).Alternatively, try taking tylenol, (acetaminophen) 2 tabs twice daily during the week before your menses are due, as that is the time mastalgia is at its worst..

Won't hurt: but you can have this followed as this can be any number of issues such as vitiligo (if you have family hx, autoimmune problems), tinea versicolor (fungal infection), idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis (usually seen on sun exposed areas) or pityriasis alba (white in summer and becomes dry and reddish/scaly in winter - seen in teenagers) or Nevis depigmentosus (hair in discolored area is white)

fish oil: If you rub fish oil on your butt and then try and sit, you might slip off the chair and get hurt. Not sure what good effects you'd expect from putting fish oil and e on your derriere.

Depends: Vitamin has 8 subtypes. Studies done showing increased risk of prostate cancer used only one (alpha). Each subtype does different things, and vit e is best taken as a combination of more than one subtype. Gamma and delta are good for the heart and blood vessels. Unique e is a brand that gives mixed tocopherols. There are also other brands.

It is not....: It is not  an fda requirement to label vitamin e content.  If it is listed, it is the manufacturer's choice!

: You may, but it will not do you any good.
