Possible: At your age (young) you should have bloodwork to check for specific markers. "bone pain" can be a complaint of deficiency but there may be other causes.

May be unrelated: Vitamin d deficiency is all too common and may not be the cause of your symptoms. You could take over the counter preparation of vitamin d but that may not address the pain. The pain issue would require physical examination and more history to provide a meaningful opinion.

Musculoskeletal: A late teenager with neck ; upper back pain bilaterally likely has a musculoskeletal problem.  Indeed vitamin d deficiency is often concomitant with chronic pain syndromes.  My own theory is that the deficiency is possibly caused by household reclusiveness and sun avoidance due to a sedentary lifestyle.  See an osteopath to find out what causes the chronic pain.  Evaluation by physical therapist.

Maybe: Vit d deficiency has been linked to your symptoms, but deficiency is known to have no obvious symptoms. Best way to find out is to take robust doses of vit d & get sufficient sun exposure. You're in a northern latitude, you need longer exposure to sun (uvb rays) & more exposed skin. If doing this doesn't relieve symptoms but levels normalize, something else is wrong. If can't normalize GI ? Problem.

High PTH: Y your ou need to see an endocrinologist to see if you have hyperparathyroidism (h). H causes abdominal symptoms and could be causing your abdominal problems. Bone pain is also a symptom of h. A simple blood test will tell you if  you have h. If so, surgery to remove the parathyroid gland adenoma may be needed to alleviate your problems.

Yes: There actually is evidence that vitamin d can reduce inflammation directly, and can be used to alleviate pain. Since the general population is getting less vitamin d than optimal, there are many disorders that are being influenced and helped by vitamin d. It's not the silver bullet that will fix everything, but a daily 1000iu dose can only help.

There are...: ...Two versions of vitamin d.  D3 supplements are typically derived from animal sources.  D2 supplements typically come from plants, mushrooms etc..   There is still a question of which is better and more helpful, with most of the literature coming down on the side of d3.  The best d, however, is that made by your skin when exposed to sunlight.
