For example, if one believes her leukemia went away because she  ate a navel orange every day for an entire year, she must prove that eating the navel orange actually cured the leukemia (and thus show it was not just a coincidence that her leukemia resolved during that same time).

my wife has allergy with calcium and vitamin c. whenever she intakes either of it, she starts to have body pains, what is the permanent cure for this?

Not an allergy: It is impossible to be allergic to either vitamin c or calcium. Both are found in your body at all times so if you were allergic to either substance you would constantly be experiencing allergic reactions. Also, body pains are rarely, if ever, seen with allergic reactions. The body aches are due to some other process unlikely due to vitamin c or calcium. Consult your md or a rheumatologist.

its said multivitamin pill cant replace natural foods. then how come vegetarians with b12 deficiency for nerve damage are cured? why pill is not that good then! its synthetic? what if i take vitamin c pill everyday rather than eating oranges.its easy

Faulty premise: Your premise is faulty as stated. I/we have not said some vitamin pills cannot replace some nutrients found in natural foods. There are essential vitamins that many can get from food, except those with defects that impair absorption. There are essential fats and proteins found in foods that are not available in most supplements/pills but might. If you want to survive on pills you are free to try.

i did a simple serum iron test for my son of 12, his result was 10.6 he has been on iron meds chelifer 15 mg for about a year... what are the next steps for good absorption other than taking iron tabs with vitamin c ?

Diet: Diet with foods with Iron is a great way to absorb Iron.  Good sources of Iron include shellfish, spinach, legumes, red meat, pumpkin seeds, quinoa, turkey, broccoli, Tofu, dark chocolate, fish. Eat up and stay strong.

Vit c: In general, yes.  Vit C up to about 500 mg per day is perfectly safe.

Not indicated: It is not necessary for an otherwise healthy male in late 20s to take a vitamin c supplement. But it woudn't hurt take some within reason. It would be better to get vitamins from whole foods.

is 1000mg vitamin c a lot?

Controversial!: I believe 300mg per day is enough.  Some physicians believe that 1000mg/day is ok. I disagree!
