H pylori: h pylori infection can cause a gastritis that may improve with antacids but won't completely go away unless you also use a combination of antibiotics. Ask your doctor to check a stool test for the H pylori bacteria.

Psychotherapy: In addition to getting evaluated by your GP to rule out organic problems, consider going to a psychotherapist to help get to the bottom of what is causing the "severe anxiety" as you say. Living with this level of fear can be incredibly debilitating, and imagine what your life would be like if the anxiety could at least be reduced if not eradicated altogether?

Generally no: Severe stomach inflammation may cause chest pain, but should not lead to fast heart beats or shortness of breath.  However, sometimes those who have heart disease(coronary artery disease) experience fast heart beats, shortness of breath, and think they have gastritis when in fact, they are having heart pain.

Your system is out o: As far as the gastritis and slow motility your doctor must tell you what to do. No food at all for 13 days will cause you to lose a bunch of weight. Sounds like you need a good trial of antacid medical treatment. So kits time to quit treating yourself and talk to your doc.

gastritis for years. meds quit working. now severe ab pains. taking mobic (meloxicam) for relief.  gi says no cancer but i was never tested. still ill. causes?

Mobic (meloxicam) is not the: answer. If it's NSAIDs and you have a history of gastritis, they are not compatible to do together. Wise to call your doctor to switch to something else. We don't have the rest of your past medical /soc /sexual /surgical /supplement histories that would be helpful. Need to make sure you're hydrating fully, not taking caffeinated bev, chocolate, fried foods, processed foods, alcohol, even smoking.

i have fairly severe gastritis that causes intense stomach pains every day, sometimes even when i take my omeprazole. should i be concerned?

Yes: Intense pain anywhere should always be of concern. Intense abdominal pain can be due to ulcers, gall stones or other gall bladder issues, diverticulitis, acid reflux disease, pancreatitis, or even from heart or lung causes. Best to see your doctor to find out what is the cause of your pain.
