Not vicodin: Vicodin is hydrocodone and is a dangerous opiate painkiller. Lawfully you cannot even have it without a physician's close supervision, and if you use it casually, you'll end up enslaved to its subtle addictive powers. Aspirin is worthless as a means of managing cholesterol though in some people it counters atherosclerosis by other mechanisms. Your physician is your guide.

No interaction: There isn't an interaction of aspirin and vicodin.  Vicodin is a combination of a narcotic (hydrocodone) and tylenol (acetaminophen).  If you're taking low dose aspirin for some reason, it shouldn't be a problem to take vicodin.  But I'd question why you're taking aspirin.  It's not a great pain medication.  If you're using aspirin for pain regularly, it's worth consulting a doc who knows pain meds.

tooth prep tomorrow for crown & novocain doesnt seem to work well for me. was thinking of trying two vicodin 5-300 & 2 regular aspirin. okay to mix?

Dental pain issues: As far as mixing the vicodin and Aspirin - there should be NO problems.   However,  if you do this  - inform the oral surgeon  - as the aspirin may interfer with clotting and cause excessive minor bleeding.    Just let the doctor know if you do this and it may control the pain and give better relief along with the Novocain.   Good luck

i'm on vicodin for a pinched nerve in my back and i need to take an antacid cause i'm refluxing bad can i take alkaseltzer cause it has aspirin in it?

You may want to see: Your doctor about your symptoms to make sure there is not an ulcer or gastritis issue for your back pain in the first place and your doctor may suggest other medication that may be more appropriate for your symptoms especially if the pain may be causing a stress type reaction to your stomach or are you also taking non steroidal anti inflammatories as well which cause GI symptoms in 10% taking them.

i have a head ache that is causing nausea. i took 2 aspirin at 4:30pm and again at 9:30pm without relief, in fact it is getting worse. is it safe to take 1/2 of a vicoden on top of the aspirin?

I : I hope that by now your headache is better. While it is not unsafe to take 1/2 of a vicoden with Aspirin there are better, less addicting drugs available to treat headaches. Headaches with nausea are often migraines. You did not mention whether you have had these headaches before. There are other more serious causes of headache with nausea that should be checked out if this is a new kind of headache for you.
If you  still have the headache as you read this, please call your primary care doctor and discuss whether you should be worked up.

Opiate    + Tylenol (acetaminophen): Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is primarily used for pain and can be addictive if taken regularly.  The hydrocod part is in the opiate family .

See a doctor.: You need to see a physician for evaluation of these symptoms. Not all types of headaches respond to the meds you mention. You also need to determine if the headaches and your other symptoms are related.

Consult your doctor: Aspirin taken daily, in low doses, may reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, but it has deleterious effects as well.  You should consult your doctor before self medicating with Aspirin or any other drug/medication.

6 aspirins: Why are you taking so many aspirins (I presume six a day), and why are you taking an antibiotic?

If you have been told by your doctor to take 6 antibiotics a day, please find another doctor.

If a doctor has not told you to take six a day , she/he is correct.
