can i use hydroquinoine + tretinoin on my linea negra?

: Many dermatologists advise  a combination of these two along  with a  topical  steroid. The tretinoin helps the absorption of hydroquinone , but should be avoided during pregnancy . 
Linea nigra often takes months to clear and protection form sunlight may help this . 
Sometimes dermatologists advise certain oral medications along with the above.

is tretinex different than renova (tretinoin)?

Tretinex=Acne Only: Tretinex is acutaine and used for acne. Tretinoin (Retin-A) is a cream used to treat sun dsmaged skin. Renova, in my opinion, has no use as it is tretinoin mixed with mineral oil to prevent its penetrating the skin, thus markedly reducing its effectiveness. At your age, tretinoin is what you need. See a plastic surgeon or dermatologist experienced in skin rejuvenation.

Accepted Answer

Yes and no: Tretinoin is a prescription medicine used in acne and typically helps with comedonal acne (blackheads) and typically the topical antibiotics are more helpful for pustules.  However if you are having pustular acne you already have comedonal acne so you do need a medication like tretinoin to help open up the pores.  Use daily as prescribed

Takes time: The age reversing effects of tretinoin usually are not seen for weeks if not months.  Continuous use is required to allow the compound to take effect as it acts on the dna of the skin cells.

Light and tretinoin: There was previously a suggestion that uv light (sunlight) inactivated tretinoin, but that has not been substantiated.  No suggestion that other light, like lamp light inactivates tretinoin.

3-if you are sensitive to it
if you are doing things right then it is a n allergy and you need to see your physician

Maybe: Fordyce spots are areas of cutaneous sebaceous hyperplasia, and can be found on the lips, genitalia, and other areas where sebaceous glands are less common. Numerous options have been tried, including co2 and pulsed dye laser, as well as topical agents, often with mixed results. Retin-a is an exfoliant and might help, but can cause dryness and irritation. See your dermatologist for more advice.
