Please clarify: A vertebral artery dissection would be very unlikely to cause the symptoms you describe. Sounds more like a cervical radiculopathy. You need to provide more information. If you don't know, you need to clear this up with your doctor. A lost of people post questions here that are of trivial importance. This isn't one of those. Get the facts.

Urgent !: This can be very dangerous.  One can tear one of the arteries of the neck with am improper (usually fast/forceful) neck rotation.  This is called an arterial dissection and can lead to bleeding/hematoma, and/or clots being sent to the brain (causing stroke).  Vertigo may be a symptom of this problem.  CT angiogram or traditional angiogram is warranted.  Please go to your emergency room urgently!

Arterial wall: To see detail in an arterial wall you need to have an arteriographic study. A regular MRI would not likely show this.

It is not necessarily a torn annulus, but more likely a delamination of the fibrous rings of the annulus fibrosus (the outer ring of the disc). It is usually associated with degenerative changes to hydration of the disc. With discography, a true tear shows leakage of the radiographic dye.

First, if you are: talking about epidural steroid injections they really are not indicated for back pain due to disc disease like an annular tear which I believe what you are describing but for a disc herniation causing sciatic pain primarily.  Back pain usually is better within several weeks but 10% can become chronic -see an orthopedic spine surgeon for an evaluation if not improving for treatment  recommendations

Meaning that the disc has traveled just above where it exited the disk space. If you are having symptoms in either of your legs this could be the cause of The problem. If you are having symptoms and the MRI was obtained by your family doctor you If you are having symptoms and the MRI was obtained by your family doctor you should probably seen orthopedic spine surgeon

Let me explain: Pain originate from the vertebrae could come from the bone itself or from the disc between the vertebrae.
So if you have problems in the vertebrae you will have pain with activity and stiffness in the morning around the area involved.
If the disc involved i, t depend what level the nerve get pinch and you have pain in the area and radiation of the pain to the leg and numbness.
