Not recommended: Vaseline can be occlusive to rashes and often keep the inciting cause "under wraps" so to speak.  Best to get the rash diagnosed and most often a simple prescribed corticosteroid cream may be needed or other agent depending on the official diagnosis.  Best wishes.

Everyone's different: Some people have longer lashes. Others have shorter lashes. There's no "natural" substance to put on the lashes or eyelids to make eyelashes grow more than they would naturally grow by themselves. If a person is wanting to try something, she can ask to try Latisse (bimatoprost) (prescription needed), which is an eyedrop medication to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker.

No way : would I put cayenne pepper anywhere near my eye!  I've never heard of this particular home remedy and to me it sounds like a painful lesson waiting to happen.

Yes.: Baby oil is a safe and usually effective makeup remover. Vaseline is almost guaranteed to cause breakouts if you have sensitive skin, so I would avoid using that on your face for any purpose.

: Selsun Blue is not harmful to your eyes so it can be used as a hair shampoo and we expect the solution may get in the eye at times. If you already washed the eye thoroughly yesterday your eye should be fine, the irritation should resolve next day.

Watch for symptoms: It is unlikely that you infected your eye but if you get any redness, pain and photophobia than get it checked by an ophthalmologist asap.
