Uncertain: There are  not  enough studies  upon   which  to  base a concise response to our  question.  In  various  studies, the  drop-out  rate  for all side effects  was  less than with several  other antidepressants.  If you  are  concerned, discuss with your  MD and  set a threshold, say 7  pounds, that  will  prompt a discussion  and  review of the  treatment choices.

: Your prescriber will have to know/approve as other than sleep there may be intended effect on depression and/or anxiety. Otherwise, you are doing the right thing by adjusting down your dose in case undesirable side effects.

Only if others fail: I had to research this question as agomelatine is not approved in the United States.  It appears that the data for this medicine is all over the place.  There is some question how effective it truly is.  It appears it is mainly prescribed in individuals who have failed or cannot take other anti-depressants.  It does work differently from ssris.

i took 25 mg of agomelatine
1 mg of xanax and accidentally also took 50 mg of trazodone that i forgot i stopped taking. is this combination dangerous? when should i be worried?

Don't Worry: Using alprazolam together with trazodone may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Xanax and trazodone don’t impact the same pathways in the body. Xanax affects the central nervous system and trazodone impacts chemicals in the brain, so this reduces the risk of dangerous interactions with Xanax and trazodone together. Dispose of past meds.

on valdoxan for 5 years, last 2 years only taking half a pill 12.5mg still makes me sleepy and tired all day. can i stop and use 5-htp?

Complex question: Valdoxan (agomelatine) is typically used as an antidepressant medication. 
5-HTP is a serotonin precursor. 
I notice you also take lamotrigine. Have you considered the possibility that the lamotrigine causes tiredness?
5-HTP, in my view, is not robustly effective as an antidepressant. Bupropion (Wellbutrin) is unlikely to cause sedation.
I would suggest talking w your doctor about alternatives.

Maybe: According to my interaction checker, Valdoxan has not been FDA approved yet.  Therefore, I cannot say with any medical certainty, but I believe it should be safe to take this combination.  Discuss your concerns with your prescribing doctor.

i'm 70 years old, still working and take valdoxan for depression and anxiety, is it safe for daily use in the medium term.i'm a diabetic for 20 years..

Agree with Dr. M: Exercise is as effective as drugs for moderate depression. Exercise 30 minutes each day, preferably first thing in the morning. Start with any exercise you like or can tolerate and gradually increase the time and intensity of activity.
