Vaginal yeast: Yeast infection (thrush) of the vagina is very common and symptoms can come and go. The main symptom of vaginal yeast is itching irritation, with scant white discharge (or none) and without strong odor. If these symptoms fit, find an OTC vaginal "azole" cream or suppository (a pharmacist can advise). If not, or if OTC treatment doesn't clear it up in a week, you'll need to see a doctor or clinic.

been using clotrimazole cream for 2 wks for vaginal thrush, no symptoms now and all seems fine but its tender and red around the entrance, is it gone?

Probably: clotrimazole is an anti fungal, so it will cure the yeast but can leave the area still red and irritated. You can use a low dose hydrocortisone such as vagisil or hydrocortisone 0.5% to help the inflammation go away.

Unlikely: You do need to see your  physician to clarify your concerns. You need an evaluation to answer the question of why you have  thrush. While you may get an HIV test, there are  other things that  need  clarification. This may not  be a major  problem but it is best  to check it out

No: Vaginal thrush usually reflects imbalance of microbial floara in the vagina, usually induced by antibiotic treatment.

OTC treatment: Not sure what over the counter ( OTC) medications are available in your country, but you could look for OTC miconazole. Ask the pharmacist for help.

: In the US there are multiple available over the counter treatments for a simple vaginal yeast infection. Check the pharmacy isle where you find feminine hygiene products.

2 options: Go to the chemist and ask for some cream or do a consult.  You could also see the GP on Monday but I would think that would be less desirable but they could also check your urine.

Might be HSG prep: Without an exam this pure guesswork, but sounds like you might have a sensitivity to the prep used for the HSG. Doubt it's the Elavil, (amitriptyline) but guess it's not impossible. If it continues you need to see either the doctor who did the HSG or maybe better the one who ordered it. Best wishes.

Presuming you are: An adult, usually oral antifungal medications are prescribed by your physician. Topical creams may help if needed.Oral is more effective though.

=candida / =yeast: Monistat 3/5/7 good options (1day less successful). Shows you are on diflucan--that should help as well.
