UTI: Call your gynecologist, He/she may be willing skip the urine culture and colony count that verifies the presence of a UTI and call in a prescription to treat a UTI in a young healthy female. In addition you need instructions and advice about your prolonged menstrual bleeding and pelvic pain. Prolonged uterine bleeding leads to iron deficiency anemia.

ive had side pain on my left side for 8 days now that also goes up under my left rib at times on my backside (flank) and down in my pelvic region. the pain is not constant and goes away with rest. no uti symptoms. what could it be?

: Episodic pain which is relieved with rest is likely from musculoskeletal source. You can try pain pill OTC for a day or two. If pain is relieved with tylenol or advil/motrin, I doubt of any serious issue.

urine test white blood cell high, but urine culture=normal. no burning/pee uti symptoms. slight upper right-side pelvic discomfort. if not uti, what?

See a doctor: If you have sterile pyuria (WBC in urine without infection) you need to be evaluated and TB needs to be ruled out.

Bad to the "stone": The pain is the kidney stone getting stuck and unstuck like a ball valve at the narrow juncture of the ureter entry into the bladder. The infected urine is "backing up" into the kidney and requires continuous antibiotics until you can get to the Urologist who has ways to either retrieve surgically the stone through the bladder or breaking it up with lithotripsy- so no "romancing the stone" .

for ~week ive been leaking urine, often soon after i sit but only after standing a while. have pelvic floor dysfunction, but no recent issues and no uti symptoms. no coughing/sneezing, etc but my urine does smell a little off. any ideas as to cause?

: With history of pelvic floor dysfunction and urine leak with foul odor I think you may experience pelvic organ prolapse such as cystocele or uterine prolapse.

Yes: A common symptom of a genital herpes infection can be painful urination. This does not necessarily mean you have a UTI though. Treatment with any antiviral medication may help decrease the symptoms from genital herpes.

Not really: These infections can cause urinary symptoms (burning, pain) but not typically associated with infection per se.

Not really uti: It is thinning of the skin in the vagina from lack of estrogen . Only estrogen will help.It is possible that the brand of cream might neem a change, but if your urine was checked and gyn said the this was the problem then the cream is the only was to get the vaginal skin inside healthy again. It takes a while and does not work overnight

Possible Stone?: If your UTI symptoms are mainly urgency and frequency of urination, there are many possible causes.  Since the studies so far haven't shown a cause, i would lean toward overactive bladder or a stone in the ureter (kidney tube).  A ct scan will detect stones.  If negative, other causes of bladder irritation should be evaluated and a look in the bladder should be done by a urologist.
