Can herpes effect the urethra? can it make it feel as though u have uti symptoms?

Yes: A common symptom of a genital herpes infection can be painful urination. This does not necessarily mean you have a UTI though. Treatment with any antiviral medication may help decrease the symptoms from genital herpes.
