Overkill treatment: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing.Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover the area with a clean dressing changed every other day  and protected from trauma.  Placentrix may help but why pay when simple care works as well.

Scars or marks: Usuually you can suspect someone may be using drugs via injection(iv) methods when you see multiple puncture marks on their arms (usually at the fold of the inner elbow) hands, neck, feet/toes and even woman's breasts (yep, their breasts ).  Repeated abscesses (like a large pimple) can also develop at the sites where they are injecting.

Atropine injections: "Conditions in which inhibition of postganglionic cholinergic nerves are undesirable, such as glaucoma and tachycardia. Yes: Bico is vitamin B and Petogen is progesterone. There is no interaction  with these medications

Accepted Answer

Viscosupplementation: Euflexxa is similar to many other viscosupplementation injections on the market today.  I use these types of injections and many patients get significant relief.  However, there are patients that don't get much benefit from the injections.  I believe it mostly depends on how severe the knee arthritis is.

can i use 3cc syringe for subcutaneous injection?

Accepted Answer

Yes: The syringe size is not the issue, it's the volume of fluid and the needle. The syrine may not be calibrated to small volumes. Better to use 1ml syrine with small calibrations.
