is usana essentials good for health?

Yes: While vitamins are not a substitute for a healthy diet, the vast majority of americans do not adequate nutrients from their diet, so i advise everyone take a good multivitamin. There is evidence that vitamins & minerals can help prevent heart disease & cancer & boost immune function. While not my favorite, usana essentials is a very good quality multivitamin and is better than most.

what is the best time to take the usana essentials supplement? is it during day time or before going to bed? why night /day time?

Morning & afternoon: I advise taking 1 after breakfast & 1 after lunch, though might be ok to take 1 after dinner. Many of the ingredients (vit a, d, e etc.) are fat soluble so better absorbed after a meal. The b vitamins can be stimulating/energizing so some (not all) people might have a hard time falling asleep if taken too late in the day. Best to take 2 separate times as what you take in am won't be around in pm.

Shouldn't be related: USANA essentials is a vitamin product (frankly I think there's a lot of hype in that stuff). I love vitamins &amp; I think they rule in appropriate quantities, for appropriate conditions, for appropriate amounts of money.  USANA doesn't fit any of those criteria as far as I'm concerned. Unless, they're processing contains junk fillers that cause your dizziness, the vitamins themselves are not to blame

Sure: I doubt the glutathione will benefit you. Nowadays there is a case to be made for multivitamin supplementation. Neither will benefit you nearly so much as pursuing strenuous physical fitness activities that you enjoy.

Not known for sure: If it is an herbal product or a vitamin supplement, but not a real medication approved by the FDA, then it is probably not tested for interactions and side effects in the way that real medicines are tested. That means nobody truly knows what the safety level or the side effects are. If one hears of some interaction or thinks she is getting a side effect, she can visit her primary care doctor.

Healthy diet : A well-balanced healthy diet is sufficient unless there is an underlying disorder. Low vitamin d is being seen more and more due to doctor's checking the levels more often as well as due to changes in its reference range. The d3 formulation is suggested if low. Things such as iron and calcium may be needed but these are not considered vitamins.

Yes: Certain vitamins, particularly the fat soluble ones, a, d, e, and k can reach toxic levels if you take too much. The other vitamins can cause other health problems, such as increasing risk for cancer, if taken in very high doses.

No: Vitamins have no significant calorie content so a contribution to weight gain would not be a direct effect. Some supplements may trigger your appetite and have a secondary effect on your eating habits, thus contributing to weight gain.

Vitamin deficiency: Eating a diet with a variety of fruits and vegetables lowers the risk of any vitamin deficiency. Poor diet, repetitive diet, and disease can create vitamin deficiency. Multivitamin is an insurance policy for most and may help prevent nutritional deficiencies.
