Don't worry...: E .Coli is a very common organism which causes urine infection. If you take ciprofloxacin for 5-7 days it will be gone. Hydrate yourself well. Avoid sex, douching, tub bath till cured.

Doctor can recheck: A person who knows he has a urine infection can see his doctor to make sure he is getting the correct antibiotic, because some bacteria are resistant to certain antibiotics. After taking antibiotics, he can return to the lab to recheck his urine to make sure the treatment worked. Sometimes, the doctor will do further evaluations to see if there is a second medical problem causing the infection.

Unclear : The urinalysis results you present are missing the most important markers for uti, that is leukocyte esterase and nitrites. That being said your WBC count isn't elevated. The positive Albumin is likely a consequence of your preexisting ckd. If you have symptoms of a uti, discuss this with your doctor.

UTI? Yeast?: Confusing question. Yeast rarely causes urinary tract infection. Profile says you are male, in which case both yeast and urinary tract infection are unlikely at your age. Cloudy urine, by itself, isn&#x27;t abnormal and usually doesn&#x27;t indicate infection. Check with doctor or clinic; do not rely on self testing or via a lab without doctor advice. Good luck.

Not necessarily: Do you have symptoms of burning, pain during urination? Do you have frequency of urination, bladder pressure? If the answer in no, then most likely, you do not have UTI. Why was the urine exam done?

Not Sure: A urine in a female is difficult to evaluate because of contamination of it by skin and vaginal conditions. You have some epithelial cells which means some contamination but you have significant pus (WBC) cells which indicate infection either from bladder, skin or vagina. With urinary infection you often have urgency, frequency and burning. With vaginal you may have discharge, odor, burn or itch.

May represent contamination of the urine sample from vaginal cells, or; residual, resolving irritation and inflammation from treatment of recent infection, or; infection (new, persistent, or recurrent) involving urinary tract (UTI) or vagina (vaginitis) with or w/o symptoms. Suggest repeat appropriate cultures.

Genital infection?: Women often have elevated WBC in urine because of contamination of the sample with genital fluids. WBC are common in vaginal fluids, for example, often (but not always) because of infections like yeast and STDs. Also, symptoms of yeast and STDs often are similar to UTI. If you are sexually active and not tested recently for gonorrhea and chlamydia, make sure your doctor knows and get tested.
