Bladder muscle has unique ability to contract as well as "stretch."  sustain bladder distention will lead to a permanent loss of the "stretchiness / elasticity" to your bladder. ? Alkaptonuria: Alkaptonuria could be the cause and is a genetic disorder so need to see a physician to diagnosis if this is a possibility.Overtime can cause problems with joints if this is the cause and not treated.

i can no longer hold my urine, every time i do it makes me abdomen feel a certain way. then if i hold it in too long i can't reach the bathroom in time then i leak. is there any medication or way can i stop this from happening?

: Start with stopping or limiting soda, tea coffee.  Make sure you are not constipated. If you don't improve after a week or so see your MD and make sure you get your urine checked to find a cause. Good luck.

Go to the ER: We would need a lot more information to even begin to help you but from what you already describe these are serious symptoms for a 33-year-old female and you should seek help from a doctor right away. Even if its just a urinary tract infection if left untreated you can get much sicker. See a doctor now. If there is an emergency room near you that would be best. Let's hope its something simple.

Try cranberry juice and emptying your bladder frequently over the next 2 days. If your symptoms do not improve, you should go to your doctor to get tested as you may need antibiotics.
