OK once in a while: Not good to do it all the time because either bladder can enlarge leaving bladder muscle weak to contract or bladder muscle can thicken ; reduce bladder elasticity. That is for men, women increase the risk for bladder infections if they retain urine so as to vouid less often.Holding it once a day is used as a treatment addition for bed wetters to become more aware of bladder sensation of fullness.
