Urinalysis: Sounds like you may have had upper urinary tract infection without spillage of inflammatory cells into the renal calyx, so that although the bacteria showed up the inflammatory cells did not.  The other alternative is that this was somehow a contaminated specimen and the e. Coli were not from the urinary tract.

Bacteruria: Why was the sample taken?  If you have no symptoms of a UTI such as burning with urination or frequency then don`t worry about it.  That small amount of gram positive organisms is likely colonizers of skin and not a real infection.

Yes: Urine culture will allow identification of the organism and if needed the antibiotic sensitivity of the organism can then be determined.

Confirm a UTI: Group B strep is usually a gut bacteria. If there are symptoms such as burning on urination foul-smelling urine for the positive culture it is most likely a urinary tract infection. Urinalysis probably would show a positive leukocyte esterase test. The culture is usually the goal stand it if it is greater than 100,000 colonies.
