No: Urethral syndrome is infection, acute or chronic,of the periurethral glands or Skene's glands around the female urethra. They are the embryological equivalent of the prostate gland in the male. The treatment involves antibiotics,short term for acute,long term for chronic. Also a dose after sexual intercourse. Sometimes hormones help. You need to see a medical doctor for evaluation and treatment.

Urine culture: Usually urine culture showing typical UTI-type bacteria in smaller than usual numbers. Lab must be alerted to pay attention to small counts and not dismiss the culture as negative. Sometimes an antibiotic trial is needed. UTI Rx 3-5 d rarely triggers C diff. If your doctor is unfamiliar, see infectious diseases specialist. As noted in previous reply, urethral syndrome isn't the only possibility.

Infection? STD?: There has been little or no research on urethral discharge in women. In men, almost all cases are STDs (e.g. chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas). Obviously this depends on your and/or a sex partner&#x27;s risk for STD. A non-STD urinary tract infection might be possible, but unlikely without painful, urgent or frequent urination. What did your doctor say? Were you tested for these STDs and UTI?

Anal intrcourse: I would be mostly concerned for a STD. Chronic pelvic pain could also be implicated due to the anal inter course. Would recommend seeing a specialist ASAP
