Subtle: Right sided heart failure would have to be fairly severe and sometimes longstanding to show significant changes on a standard CXR. Enlargement of the right ventricle and atrium are much better seen with an echo than a CXR. A skilled radiologist might detect some changes earlier than most but overall a standard chest X-ray is not a great way to look for or prove right sided heart failure.

Usually no: Sometimes there are some signs that can be associated with right heart failure but a chest xray is not generally able to confirm or rule out right sided heart failure as the findings are usually non-specific.

Not at all: A CXR is minimally helpful in the diagnosis of right sided HF.  An echocardiogram is the test of choice along with a thorough history and physical examination.

i have just recovered from bronchitis and sinusitis, however ive developed pain in the bottom of my right rib. coughing, touching or if a move a certain way causes extreme pain. (general standing and sitting i am in no pain.)?

Rib pain: You most likely were having coughing spells while sick and have now strained your intercostal muscles.
They will get better in the next few days.  You could take aspirin or such for a few days.  If it continues longer or gets worse then you should be seen either by your physician or the emergency department depending on how bad the symptoms are.
Right now give it a few days, but keep taking deep b

Rib pain: This is likely what we call costochondritis, which is an inflammation of cartilage of the rib particularly where cartilage and bone unite.

Rib pain: This could be related to food intake. Best to keep a journal of your symptoms (and any activity or food is related to timing of the symptoms) over the next week or two. Then you can review this with your doctor and see if any pattern of occurrence is revealed. Best of health to you

Rib cage: You could be experiencing benign instability of the rib-vertebra junction or rib-sternum junction. Somtimes inflammation of the joints where the rib meets your vertebra in the back or where the rib meets your breast bone (sternum) in the front can cause pain and a sense of the rib moving in and out of place. If symptoms persist see your doctor.

Several causes: This could be vascular or muscle related, but your best bet is to have it examined by your healthcare provider since the causes are so many.

Costochondritis: Fleeting rib pains are often caused by a vague condition called costo-chondritis. It is a mild degree inflammation of rib cartilage that may be more annoying than serious. You can try OTC anti-inlammatory agent like Ibuprofen 400 mg 2-3 times daily for week and use heating pads to the area. If pain subsides, it weould suppor tthis diagnosis. If not, pl. get it checked by your local doctor:)
