Atypical symptoms: It is possible but not common for this type of atypical symptoms to herald unstable angina.  Usually shortness of breath or chest pressure are part of the symptoms.  Also if you have had these before, it is more meaningful, than atypical symptoms out of the blue.

In simple terms a nstemi is a heart attack that has happened already, unstable angina is a heart attack about to happen.  Nowadays, both groups of patients are thought to do better with an invasive strategy (angiography and possible angioplasty).
