Not due to sinusitis: One would not expect sinusitis to cause enlargement of axillary lymph node.  But 0.5 cm is not very enlarged. If you don't feel sick, do nothing about it (unless it grows quickly) for a week to see if it resolves spontaneously.

i am an ultrasound tech.enlarged unilateral cervical lymph node for 2 years. no normal hilum. slight increase in size. could it possibly be lymphoma?

Unlikely: It&#x27;s possible but unlikely, particularly if there are no other enlarged nodes.  It is more likely related to infection or inflammation even if you don&#x27;t have other symptoms. However, the &quot;no normal hilum&quot; statement is a little concerning.  Please consult your physician to determine if more workup is needed.

what are the causes for a unilateral occipital lymph node swelling on the left side? barber noticed it/been there now 2 weeks n 1 day/should i c ent?

Irritants/ bites : Solo enlarged nodes are usually reflective of a local process. Irritation of the scalp, a local bug bite, etc.Nodes usually run a 3-4 week cycle of enlrging when stimulated, processing their irritant and returning to resting size. If continuing to enlarge, painful or persisting in an enlarged size after 3-4 wks, i would have it looked at.

have painful lymph nodes unilaterally in my groin since two days and saw some small yellowish stains in my underwear. had ngu in summer and was treated for it, all other std tests were negative. only slept with my gf after that. what could this be?

i have a swollen lymph node (unilateral) above the collar bone (size of a blueberry). i just got over having pneumonia. they found bilateral perihilar fullness with peribronchial thickening. does this sound like a case of lymphoma? no other symptoms?

: All of this can be due to a strong immune response to what could have been a bout of viral or atypical pneumonia. Nevertheless a follow-up is needed. Did the radiologist recommend a chest CT scan as is most often the case with hilar prominence?  I think this 
test is superior to an ultrasound. Discuss this with your physician. You could also consult a pulmonologist for evaluation&amp;further advice
