can you get tiny broken capillary (like tiny red dot or line)under eye from constipation straining or weight lift?i get lots when i cry since a kid,but what can cause just 1or2 of them occasionally?my aunt has the same issue.they leave after 2 days?

: Yes. The problem is often labeled coughing petechiae since it is seen frequently after the strain of coughing or vomiting raises capillary pressure. The findings are generally limited to the neck and above &amp; may involve the face/whites of the eyes/nearby eye tissues, etc. By itself it does not indicate any significant medical problem.

a week ago a capillary in my eye burst, it seems to be healing normally. but since then i've had a sporadic stinging in it though. is this serious?

Not serious: Subconjunctival hemorrhages like this are minor and self limited.  It should spontaneously resort over one to two weeks.

for the last four months, every 2-3 weeks, the sclera of one of my eyes turns blood shot  red (a broken blood capillary). what could be the reason?

Bleed: This is a sub-conjunctival hemorrhage.  As long as the vision is unchanged and there is no pain, everything should be fine.  If it is a little irritated, then you can use an artificial tear up to 4 times a day to lubricate. This is due to a blood vessel leaking blood and is usually without cause.  Sometimes straining or blood thinner can cause this. If it continues to happen, follow up with eye md.

i have just noticed what looks like a blood blister (or burst capillary) in the white part of my eye. i dont notice any change in my vision. i have not hit or bumped my eye. is it anything to be concerned about?

No; however...: This is called a subconjunctival hemorrhage. While it can look frightening it is not serious and will resolve on its own.
While nothing to worry about, it may indicate a deficiency of Vitamin K (found in dark leafy greens and avocado) or bioflavonoids (found in many fruits and vegetables).

Broken capillary: You neednt worry, the blood is not affecting your vision and will be absorbed without any problem.

not necessarily: Straining, being on nsaids like aspirin, ibuprofen, trauma, hypertension and heavy lifting would be risk factors.  If there is frequent bleeding, or easy bruising/bleeding then ask your doctor for more workup.

Many things: But most commonly age causes looser tissue which allows orbital fat to prolapse forward.

Genetic?: I imagine this is a cosmetic problem, though i could be wrong. I many darker pigmented ethnic groups this is normal. If you are intent on removing them, i suggest you see a dermatologist first and then a plastic surgeon.

See eye doctor: See eye doctor and look for allergies.  May need more sleep.  May need cosmetics/make up, may need sugery.

Accepted Answer

Many options: Is this a new event? Or something of long standing?  Is it asymptomatic or does it hurt?  Is it growing, bulging above skin level, inflammatory?   If any of these questions are positive, then you should consult with your ophthalmologist or a dermatologist.  Once pathology is eliminated then a cosmetic approach might be considered.
