CoQ10 is actually an: enzyme, i.e., something that helps other biochemical processes to work. Please read the label.  If under 35 or so  you can use the ubiquinone form.  If older than that use the more potent and more expensive ubiquinol form.  Peace and good health.  CoQ10 is avaialbe in health food stores.

Not to my knowledge: In fact, the whole history of supplements -- even antioxidants and omega 3's -- preventing cancer, prolonging life, or improving it quality is almost without exception, over the past forty years, a history of tremendous disappointment. You won't hear about this if you get all your information from "health" internet sites. If you're interested in this, get with an evidence-based holistic doctor.

CoQ10: Some people have less effective fat digestion and absorption.  Ubiquinone is therefore less well absorbed.  Because it is effectively water soluble, ubiquinol is expected to be better digested and absorbed.  There are some studies looking at blood levels that suggest this is accurate.  Typically dose is lower using ubiquinol, partly for this reason.

Not as well absorbed: Studies suggest that the blood level of CoQ10 from taking ubiquinol is 1.5 to 8 times greater than taking the same amount of ubiquinone. Cellular energy: Ubiquinol dose can be increased-No side effects.We give upto 2000 mg in neurological illnesses but it hasno direct effect in hypertension, but supports  cardio vascular system.

I'm pessimistic: Coenzyme q is extremely effective against one rare cardiomyopathy.  But it's being promoted heavily right now to help with almost everything and without any good studies / reproducible results. I'm waiting these but can't recommend it now. The psychology is "what's a hundred dollars if it does work?" you decide but i'm not optimistic.
