Let him chew: Chewing on something cold and firm is helpful. One idea is to give them a damp washcloth that as been frozen in the freezer to chew on. Commercial teeth rings that can be frozen are available as well. Teething is a normal process. I would avoid medication like painkillers unless absolutely necessary. Most babies really don't need them.

: Many self healing viral illnesses will present with low grade fever like this. The worry factor is best applied to the overall picture of their activities. If they feed well, play some and urinate every 6-8 hours they are hydrated and tolerating their illness. If they spook you by laying around inactive and fussy constantly you take them in.

Possibly.: Changes in color to your urine may be a symptom of a serious medical condition.  Specifically, a pink or a more darker shade could be a sign of bleeding which the Aleve could aggravate as it can interfere with your body's normal clotting mechanism.  You should be evaluated as soon as possible by an appropriate practitioner of your choice.

Ferber method: I think you need to consider giving the child the opportunity to soothe himself to sleep.  10 month olds should typically sleep through the night.  Whiskey is not a good idea for a 10 month old.  Please see "Solve your child's sleep problems" by Dr Ferber

How old?: Sometimes blisters in the mouth and throat are caused by a virus and can be painful to the child and pose the danger of causing babies not to want to eat or drink.
Watch for any signs of dehydration, such as lethargy, decreased urine output,  dry mouth and lips to mention a few. I would try  to give popsicles and fluids, try a bit of oragel, as well, if heis not better in a few days, see your doc.

See below: Without knowing whether you have normal kidney function as well normal liver function it difficult to answer.  If everything is normal, the advil can be taken every 8 hours, and tylenol (acetaminophen) every 6 hours but no more than what is recommended on the packaging.
