Nonspecific: The twitching is nondiagnostic and may be due to irritable abdominal muscles or mild contractions of stomach or intestines. See your physician if symptoms persist or worsen.

Virus: Sounds like a virus, affecting you stomach and causing the runny nose.  Muscle twitching is most often not serious and simply a transient reaction to electrolyte abnormalities or mild dehydration, etc.  See the dr. and get examined, properly diagnosed and treated as needed. Common problem : Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

random twitching in stomach. new symptom. on ranitidine, miralax, (polyethylene glycol) and metamucil. i have muscle knots/bumps on my back as well. should i be worried?

Muscle: If you're experiencing frequent and scattered muscle twitching, deficiencies of calcium, magnesium or potassium would be suspected. Frequent loose bowel movements may cause some of these deficiencies. If symptoms persist consult your physician who will order the appropriate tests and any needed treatment.

so if twitching in my stomach but it is only on one side does that mean that they baby is on that side?

The other side: You will feel most kicks in the area where the feet are.  The body and head will be across your bellybutton from that spot.  For instance, if I were trying to listen for the baby's heart, I would ask where you feel the kicking then start by placing the doppler low and on the other side of your belly.  Of course, this varies a bit depending on how far along the pregnancy is.

Stomach/Alcohol: Relief of stomach discomfort is the goal, not adding to it. Please have that looked at first.

No: Hernias in this area only occur if you've had surgery there.  This sounds like a torn muscle that spasms and twitches.  It will sometimes have an associated mass that will resolve over a month or two.  The pain or sensitivity may last 6 months.  Anything is possible so se a dr if it persists or has vomiting, weight loss, diarrhea, or worsens.

Not clear.: If these symptoms have been going on for months, you could have irritable bowel syndrome, but other diagnoses are possible.  Try increasing your fiber intake.  If this doesn't help, see your doctor.

Possible: Possible. Make sure the patient is being assessed by a pediatric endogrinologist.
