twitching in lips, what could be the cause of this? is it normal?

Depends.. : Localized twitching on one side, usually in just one lip, is fairly common. This tends to go away after a day or two, but it is pretty annoying when it's there. Twitching that involves one side of the mouth, but also the muscles around the eye on that side, is from a different problem. Twitching that is on both sides of the mouth is usually from medications, anxiety, or some metabolic things.

Spasms: The symptoms that you're describing are benign. Twitches and spasms and even tingling are normal and can occur on the face and neck.
Oftentimes they are due to stress or can be induced by exercise.
I would recommend some massaging and warm compresses, Otherwise it's not anything dangerous.

my right eye twitched every day for 3 months last year and then went away. it started twitching this time again 3 months and i feel slight twitches in my lips now too. i've used eye drops and vitamin b-12, cut back on caffeine, but nothing helps?

Too vague: How old are you? Is the twitch intermittant or constant? How long do you have this? Is it getting worse or the same? Some are not significant, some can be pathological. You should have an exam to determine if you need a neurological consult.

Low magnesium: can produce muscle twitches.  Please see your doc first to rule out other causes.  He/she may test your magnesium level if indicated. You can supplement w/magnesium.  One good brand is called "Jigsaw magnesium."  Peace and good health.

my sternocleidomastoid as well as scalene and other neck musclesstays flexed for 2-3 seconds after i relax the muscles. also i begin to feel a twitch in my lower lip upon relase of flexing the muscles. is this a sign of muscular disease?

Dystonia? stress? : 2 possibilities come to mind quickly. 1 is mechanically induced muscle spasm which could be postural and/or due to skeletal abnormalities. 2 dystonia (regional) in which mechanisms in the nervous system mis-program muscle relaxation and contraction. This requires neurological assessment.

Need sleep eval: You may need a sleep study with a seizure montage to see what the exact cause is. See a sleep specialist who is also a neurologist and will be best trained to rule out a night time seizure disorder and a myoclonic disorder. After a careful history, it is possible that the neurologist will opt for a 72 hour seizure study first. Best wishes.

started experiencing short episodes of tingling lips (medial) + twitching lower lip & sometimes in hands too. has happened ~4x in past month. no dietary changes. started trulicity ~7 weeks ago, have been on all other meds for more than a year. ?

Tingling,twitching: These are not listed side effects of trulicity. These symptoms of nerve/muscle irritability may be caused by deficiencies of calcium,magnesium or potassium. Your physician can arrange for appropriate blood tests to rule these out.
