Rest assured that...: ...your kidney, for as many years as it sits in the back of your body attached to a bladder full of wet urine, perhaps always trying to absorb the shock of your poor posture as well as when your babies were squishing the heck out of them while you were pregnant....that they are not looking to move down the street by jumping out of your body and slithering away. Twitching's for MUSCLES not beans!

Yes : The kidneys are one of the main regulators of your electrolytes, such as potassium for example.  So problems in the kidneys can cause electrolyte abnormalities which can affect muscle function and tone.  Don't hesitate to be seen if you are having problems.

i have a random pulsing/twitching feeling on my right mid/lower back area. its been coming and going for about 2 weeks now. no pain, more of an annoyance. seems as though it is in the area of my kidney?

: Lower back is not the area where the kidneys are,. They are in the flank area. Your symptoms seem like random muscle twitches which graduall go away on their own.

i have a random pulsing/twitching feeling on my right flank area. i can feel the pulsing happening under my ribs, as if in the area of my kidney. its been coming and going for about 2 weeks now. no pain, more of an annoyance and weird sensation?

: Sounds like muscle cramp/spasm.  Moving, lifting, new exercises, etc?

lower back pain on left side with pain radiating down thigh to front of knee.muscle above knee twitches. feels better when i lay down.

Check spine: May be from L3 level of the lumbar spine from herniated disc, bulging disc, osteoarthritis and spinal stenosis. Symptoms include localized pain or pain that travels to the inner thigh anteriorly to middle of the leg. Tingling, numbness or muscle weakness might also be experienced.Mr examination would define etiology of pain. Can see neurologist, neurosurgeon or orthopedic physician.

been going to the doc for back,musc twitching, and nausea. had blood panel done. flags in 3 areas. anion gap 6(l), co2 30(h), and creatinine 1.44(h). doc says tests show normal/stable kidney funct and electrolytes. how should i interpret the flags?

: Unless you have history of chronic kidney disease, creatinine of 1.44 is not stable or normal kidney function. If you have had vomit, other than just nausea, the results are consistent with metabolic alkalosis (due to vomit) and mild acute kidney injury with volume loss. If you did not vomit but taking certain meds, your meds could be the culprit. Yes, those flagged results need to be explained.

when i am sittig/lying with head forwardmuscle twitches in back above right kidney, like butterfly  trapped in ribs.  pcp gave methocarbimol, no help?

Twitchings: These should resolve with time. I doubt medication would help. If they don't resolve see a Neurologist

i got told i have high uric levels and uti. before that it was low vit d. i've had fatigue/muscle twitches/dizzy/headaches is it related to my kidneys?

See your physician: There are many causes of the symptoms that you are having.  If your doctor checked your uric acid and vitamin D levels, he/she probably also checked some tests of kidney function, so you simply need to ask.  As the the symptoms that you are having, you need to go back to your physician for a thorough evaluation to find the cause, so that you can get appropriate treatment for them.

have nf1 and chiair1 but having a lot of twitching in lower back and legs. what could be causing this. happens at least 10+ times a day. ?

Report to your doc: A person without chiari or NF1 could have this symptom due to changes in activity or exercise.  In your case, it could be due to changes in the spine.  It may be thoughtful to talk to your regular doctor about this.

had cortisone injection in lower back 3 days ago. experiencing constant muscle twitching in both calves since.  is there a connection?

Most likely benign: I assume you have had an epidural block, if you don't have any weakness in the legs  there is nothing to worry about.
