GERD: I believe the most common cause of a sour taste is the mouth is gastro-esophageal reflux (gerd).  It is also possible that infectious disease may be responsible.  Over the counter ant-acids such as tums, (calcium carbonate) maalox, or Prilosec may be of benefit.  I would suggest a GI specialist for prompt diagnosis.  Gerd can eventually lead to esophagitis, which in turn can rarely lead to cancer of the esophagus.

You need to discuss this with an otolaryngologist to get better answers.

Immediate exam: You should go to a medical clinic for an exam as soon as possible. The "hard pipe" in your throat could be due to an infection and associated inflamed tissue, an allergic reaction or to a tumor. Typical globus: Often described as like a lump in the throat.  It is of no real consequence other than the worry that it causes.  It will probably go away if you ignore it.  This of course assumes that you have had it properly looked at by a Physician.

Not unusual: Head colds are caused by dozens of different viruses. Many times the initial symptoms are in the throat for a day or two before nasal congestion ensues. Other viruses may start with head or chest congestion and then migrate to the throat. This throat soreness usually lasts only a few days. Gargle with warm,salt water and suck on lozenges for relief. If sore throat lasts longer, get a throat cultur

: I’m not sure exactly what you mean by a “static feeling”, but the rubber band analogy suggests tightness. Several possibilities include: GERD or reflux, allergies, anxiety, infection, and thyroid disease, and probably some others.  Good that you had someone check you, but since the symptoms continue, you might need more evaluation than you had the first time.

Dr. can check throat: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). A couple days of throat lozenges and tylenol (acetaminophen) can decrease throat pain.
