what to do if i am not sure if i'm breastfeeding or not. what's the best formula for your newborn to be on?

Tough choice: There are SO many formulas on the market that it is tough for even pediatricians to decide what to use. Just out of familiarity I use either Enfamil or Similac. The formula reps come by frequently to give me information &amp; samples of their products. If there is a family history of allergy, I might chose something else. I'd discuss it with your pediatrician and ignore the marketing. Congrats!

my newborn is one month now and im thinking of stopping me breastfeeding her. don't have much anyway...advice?

Breast feeding : Please go see your pediatrician before you give up.   There are remedies that can help.   The real test of effective breast feeding is your baby's weight gain.  Let that help guide your decision too.   Health departments can also help with breast feeding counselors who can give you some good coaching.   Formula feeding is fine but breast milk is cheaper and comes ready to feed.   Best wishes!

Stay well nourished: Most physicians and imams would recommend that you stay well nourished and hydrated while breastfeeding to protect the health of you and your baby. Consider honoring Ramadan by taking a "fast" from television or shopping or give a special zakat to needy families in your community.

can i take hairfinity while breastfeeding my newborn?

Probably: Hairfinity products are mostly vitamins, which are safe, but I would not combine it with other vitamins, so better to just take prenatal vits.  Hair loss is VERY common after pregnancy. There's even a name for it- telegenic effluvium, affects up to 40% of women.   Good news is that it will resolve on its own after 6-12 months.  Peak hair loss is usually 3-4 months after delivery, so be patient!

how can i avoid making my toddler feel bad while i am breastfeeding my newborn?

Make him take part: By including your toddler during breastfeeding, he/she can become part of the team. Your toddler can hold your baby's hand, hand you the burp towel and even help pat your little one during the burping process. Praise and positive words will bring a smile as well.

Now! : Feed her every three hours during the day, let her fall asleep on her own.Get her into the habit so it is not something new that she has to do in case she wakes up in the middle of the night.Goal-for you & your baby to sleep thru the night at least 8 hours & no night feedings!you will enjoy your baby much better, always happy & work faster.If you want a life, do it. My moms are very happy!

Just breast feed: For mild diarrhea breast-feeding is best. Water lax nutrients and electrolytes.

Lack of BM: You might not have enough of breast milk and she needs supplementation with the formula after breastfeeding.

Breast feeding for 2: That is amazing,  God is providing you with enough breast milk for your  2 kids.  It can be done if you can keep up with it, be careful,  don't over do it,  you have to take care of yourself,  eat very healthy  with plenty of proteins  &amp; drink enough fluids, you're eating for 3!, take your vitamins, your 17 mos old should suppliment with regular milk &amp; solid food &amp; start weaning .
