Ususally it does...: If you had your wisdom teeth removed your mouth was open for a long time and the muscles are just plain sore.  Also...Where you got the shots to numb the area will give you pain.  And finally where the teeth were removed can hurt too.
But smile...Most of the time this all goes away.  If it lasts longer than a few weeks then call the doctor and talk to them.

Usually not: The first 3 days are the most critical and as long as you are careful, it shouldn't be a problem. Some stitches do not actually fall out but dissolve. It is always best to check with the dentist who placed the stitches.

No: You need to rinse after eating following the removal of teeth.  Of more importance is how vigorously you rinse.   My patients are advise to rinse lightly after eating or drinking fluids on the day of surgery to remove any residual food particles.  Vigorous rinsing on the day of surgery could cause the loss of the blood clot and should be avoided.

Probably, but: Probably OK, but ask to see the oral surgeon for exam to make sure.

Probably not: The controlling mechansms in the brain give asymmetric innervation to all the body organs. Inflammation is induced by the brain so this could be the answer. On the other hand, there may be some infection on the swollen side and not the other.

what does it mean if i have a bad taste in mouth 6 days after wisdom teeth removal?

Debris in Sockets or: The socket in your jawbone can collect debris until it heals and fills in with bone covered by gum tissue.  In the meantime, your oral surgeon should give you an irrigating syringe to squirt in the hole(s) to keep them clean.  Could also be blood or possibly drainage/infection.  Does it hurt? Getting better or worse?  Any q's, see your dentist.

Other factors: There are other factors to be considered when teeth or bite shifts after wisdom teeth extraction, is there any other missing teeth? What are the condition of the existing teeth?, occlusion(bite)status?, etc..

Dry Socket ?: It is very possible you have a dry socket. Please go back to the oral surgeon who extracted the teeth for a post-op follow up.
