Fixing a heart valve: The tricuspid valve lies between the right atrium and ventricle.  It prevents blood from leaking back into the body when the heart squeezes.  There can be many reasons for the leak.   When it leaks (called regurge) we can often fix it by making the valve smaller and/or by fixing holes or torn chords to the valve.  This requires use of the heart lung machine.

Second opinion: You won't be able to convince any ethical cardiac surgeon to operate on you if he/ she doesn't believe that surgery is indicated. My advice is to bring all your test results to another respected cardiac SURGEON and get a second opinion.

Tricuspid repair: Whether to repair a tricuspid valve is a complicated problem dependent on the details of the patient's physiology. It is possible for some people to do fine with major tricuspid regurgitation and others benefit by repair. You should discuss this problem with the cardiologist who understands the patient's situation. The data here isn't sufficient to advise.

Depends: That really depends on the variables - impossible to make a global statement. It would be really nice if some talented surgeon could do both at the same operation. Never have seen it, but it's worth investigating. Don't be put off if the first surgeon you ask says, no.  It would be an unusual request.

null: Leonardo da vinci understood about 500 years ago that a round valve worked best and most efficiently with 3 parts rather than 2.  Normally we are born with a 3-cusp aortic valve (tricuspid, looking like a "mercedes-benz" logo).  Occasionally people can be born with only 2 cusps or a bicuspid aortic valve -- (looking like the "cbs" logo).  A bicuspid aortic valve is more prone to wear out over time.

Tricuspid valve: If you are symptom free, I would not be concerned. For peace of mind you can be checked by a cardiologist periodically

The same: Often you will here the terms trace, mild or moderate tricuspid regurgiation. In general trace and mild are essentially the same. The key is more when the valve is dilated or does not close to greater than 40mm or is associated with signs of dilation of right atrium. This is criteria which your cardiologist may act on to fix (valve surgery or procedure).

had a test ran and it shows that i have a mild mitral and tricuspid valve issue,but dr said not to worry about it for 20 to 30 years should i be worry?

Valves: Mild mitral and tricuspid insufficiency are very common and often stay stable throughout life. If your doctor is comfortable with your status and encouraging you not to worry, I'd advise taking that advice.
