Yes it often is: Spindle cell cancers are often called sarcomas. They can arise either in the soft tissues or in the bones. Ask your doctor what is the name of your cancer? If it is a sarcoma, chemotherapy is useful in about half of the cases, often it is used in conjunction with surgery and radiotherapy.

Some help: High grade spindle cell sarcomas are aggressive and every effort to remove the primary, control the surgical site if larger than 10 cm with RT should be made.  If metastatic foci are noted surgical resection can also benefit as seen with lung mets.  Primary treatment with drugs like Ifosfamide and platinum may help but primary removal is most important

Lots of variety.: The term "spindle cell" sarcoma is a generic descriptive term that doesn't really give enough information.  It would be like asking, "i saw a convertible, how fast can it go?"  additional testing often reveals exactly what kind of sarcoma, and then once you know that, you can more accurately discuss the prognosis and the treatment.

Micro: surgery is the only "curative" treatment! This may be accompanied by Radiation of draining lymph nodes.
IMMUNOTHERAPY is "ijn the works" but thus far does not seem to "add" life years!

Varies case by case: It is better known as fibromatosis or desmoid tumor since it is benign and is not a sarcoma (cancer). Mainstay of treatment is surgical excision, if it is feasible. Recurrence rate is rather high, so radiation is often given. If tumor cannot be removed safely, options include radiation, low dose chemotherapy and not doing anything and observing. Each case is different, so ask your doctor.

Yes: Treatment of synovial sarcoma is centered on surgical removal of the tumor with a cuff of normal tissue around it (medical term is wide resection). Radiation is given either before or after surgery in many cases. Use of chemotherapy is controversial as it gives a minimal improvement in survival rates at best.  Chances of cure are about 60-70% overall, but every case is different.
