Rusty nail: Stop bleeding by applying pressure. Rinse wound w clean water. Clean surrounding skin w soap &amp; water on wash cloth. Remove debris w tweezers. If material remains in wound – seek medical care. Need tetanus shot if you haven't had one in last 10 years, don't know 
when you last had one or if the wound is dirty &amp; it has been more than 5 years since last shot.

Treating fungus...: Treating fungus in nails is challenging and all take at least 6-8 weeks. If you are young and healthy and the nails are just yellow - applying antifungal cream (like lamisil) to the nails twice daily. Once the nail is thickend and deformed, or if you are diabetic it is much harder to treat. Applying vick's to the nails every night will soften them & make them less painful.
