baby has bpd, feeds by gtube, swallow study shows ability to swallow but risk of aspiration. slp approved 5cc by bottle w/ each feed for swallow therapy. is there a high risk for pneomonia?

i probably have anal fissure, reoccured with one additional after home treatment. even after using laxatives, initial part of stool is hard which worsens situation. is there a way to remediate it. i drink 2 lt water and try to have high fibre in diet?

See below: From you brief info, sounds like that he has improved from their point of view and no longer needs the antibiotics.  Treatment from now should be supportive with oxygen as needed, pt, and other supportive methods to help him clear the residual pneumonia (if still present).

Difficult problem: one might consider sleeping elevated. The history of strokes means a possible problem swallowing in which case a gastrostomy feeding tube may be the last resort. A modified barium swallow with speech pathology may provide more answers. Good luck

Find cause: Hi. Wow, for a young patient, you're using an antiquated terminology! SGPT is now referred to (and for YEARS has been) as ALT. ALT is liver specific. Why it is elevated needs evaluation, but can include fatty liver, viral hepatitides, iron overload, autoimmune hepatitis, etc. Treatment very much depends on underlying etiology. Good luck!
