Analgesic: Generally speaking non steroidal anti-inflammatory medications with or without Acetaminophen are a start.  For persistent pain consider tramadol or tapentadol or low dose narcotics. Steroids are an option.

The : The first thing that i want to know in this case is what is causing this bump. Bursitis does not typically produce shooting pain when touched. Usually moving the joint will compress or stretch the bursa, and can cause pain if the bursa is inflamed (aka bursitis). Tenderness to palpation could represent a neuroma, which is essentially a scarring of a nerve that can happen when a nerve is traumatized, such as in a fall. A neuroma is a ball of disorganized nerve cells, and they can be very sensitive to pressure. You may be familiar with a morton's neuroma, which is simply a neuroma of a small nerve in the foot. Also consider that the fall may not have caused the bump, but actually drew your attention to a problem that was already there, or that began around the time of the fall by coincidence. I have seen many cases where a simple fall caused pain that prompted a visit to a doctor or a workup that ultimately revealed a much different problem, such as a tumor or an infection that in some cases was completely unrelated to the trauma. I recommend you have a medical professional examine you so that the exact nature of this "bump" be clarified.

I would avoid aggravating activities such as working overhead, reaching up and forward, and doing pushups.

Bursitis: Nsaid's (aspirin/advil/motrin/aleve/celebrex, et al) provide both anti-inflammatory & analgesic effects for treating bursitis. For persistent cases, the bursa may be directly injected with corticosteroid to reduce inflammation. Be sure to let your doc know if you're on blood thinner before taking NSAID or have diabetes before getting steroid injections. Take nsaid's w/ food to protect stomach.

PT and medication.: These conditions are part of impingement syndrome and represent inflammation in the tissues surrounding the rotator cuff.  Rest, ice and nsaid's are first line treatments, followed by therapy and oral/injectable steroids.  If these measures fail, then shoulder arthroscopy is performed to remove the inflamed bursal tissue and bone spurs. The rotator cuff is evaluated and if torn, repaired/debrided.

Could be many things: There is a condition called ischial bursitis, that could improve with anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen. However, a number of conditions can cause severe buttock pain, including an abscess near the rectum, called a perirectal abscess, and a blood clot in a hemorrhoid. You should probably see a physician and be examined.

Not really: Home remedies have little benefit other than time. The bursa can easily be injected with cortisone which almost always resolves the issue.
