Why slap baby?: Why would you want to slap a baby hard on the back? And slapping him wont cause fever. If he has a fever use tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen.

4yr old has canker sore in the back top part of soft pallet. eats/drinks normal, no fever.. doesn't seem to bother her. treatment? healing time?

About 10 days: It will likely go away within 10 days. If it does not bother her, no Rx is needed. If the lesion persists for more than  3 weeks. then you will need to have the dentist checked it.

TB osteomyelitis: You need to be fully reevaluated.  It is entirely possible that the active condition has not been fully eradicated.  Best wishes.

i have completed my treatment for uti (nitrofurantoin) and i have the feeling of frequent urination and a slight ache in lower left back... is it possible my infection reached my kidneys? i have no fever or chills?

URI now flank pain: Yes usually will have fever and or tenderness when someone pounds over back over kidneys. It is also possible that the bug you had was not sensitive to nitrofurantoin. Discuss with your team.

Many forms of Tb: Also referred to as Pott's Disease, spinal TB is typically diagnosed from bone biopsy in the US. To start the four types of medication for an extended period is no small decision . It is doubtful it's anything else if the diagnostic procedure was done. Therapy will take months, during which times fevers can occur.  The CRP trend is good. However, it may take time for the ESR to decrease.

Don't panic: Not sure what you consider a fever, but fever alone does not need 'treatment' - it is a symptom.  Your body makes a temperature to fight off germs, both bacteria and virus, that cause infections.  The fever actually helps your immune system work better.  Keep yourself well hydrated, as a temperature causes you to need more fluids. See doc in next few days if fever doesn;t go away or other symptoms.

Need dx: A fever of unknown origin (FUO) is just that, unknown, and any treatment before an official diagnosis would be empirical  (based on, concerned with, or verifiable by observation or experience rather than theory, logic or a definitive diagnosis).

Pills. Cream or gel.: Fever blisters happen in places at or near the original herpes-1 infection. An original infection tends to happen in childhood, and causes sores on the lips and gums, plus sometimes the nostrils and facial areas near the nose and mouth. Recurrences happen on some of those original areas, usually on the lips. Prescription anti-viral pills are sometimes needed. Creams or gels help a little bit.

Determine cause: Treat the underlying cause. If the underlying cause of the fever is not serious, sometimes Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen in standard over=the=counter doses can help.
