The so called 'walking penumonia' and pertussis may linger for wks to months if not properly treated. Smokers/cystic fibrosis people may have chronic bronchitis. Consult doc for eval if symptoms lasting too long. Good luck.

What are your peak flows (do you have a peak-flow meter- essential d]for asthmatics to know if they are getting into trouble). Maybe a shot of corticosteroids followed by a short cours of prednisone is in order. Call your doctor.

The powdered inhaler doesn't add to the problem in most people because the med is consumed &amp; broken down directly in the lung tissue. Gain some control &amp; get on a good daily asthma maintenance plan &amp; this should be gone in time.
