Costochondritis: Sounds like this might be costochondritis- pain just like you describe.  It also might be "gas" would need to know more...  How frequent, any associations, change with respiration or posture, etc.

Need to examine: Bleeding from any orifice needs to be evaluated. It may be as simple as hemorrhoids, however, bleeding from hemorrhoids can make you anemic. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an examination.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Get examined: may be just gas trapped in the splenic flexure of the intestine( splenic flexure syndrome ) which will be relieved with OTC Gas-X or Phazyme; however, these could be a lung issue and deserves examination and evaluation.

LLQ discomfort: Causes of recurrent llq abdominal discomfort may be identified by first addressing accompanying signs/symptoms so as to localize the organ involved: vaginal discharge or bleeding, alteration in periods, pregnancy risk? Fever, nausea, vomiting, altered stool pattern, blood with stool, tenderness, distension? Painful urination, blood in urine? Recent trauma, herniations? Age? Gender? Risk factors?

While gas can : be treated with antacids, the symptoms you are describing, would benefit from an exam and possibly testing with your doctor to be sure nothing more serious is the problem.

Possible: This is certainly a possibility. However, it should relieve itself with flatulence or a bowel movement. If the pain continues, and with too little information to suggest another diagnosis, i would recommend you consult our physician in person for a physical exam.

i'm having trapped gas pain on my right side. i have been passing gas & belching. i just had a laparascopic appendectomy 19 days ago. is this normal?

Yes: With laparoscopic appendectomy there is alway a certain amount of inflammation in the region of the cecum and adjacent rt. colon.  There can also be a minimal degree of ileus or lack of peristalsis in the bowel causing gas accumulation and retrograde motion of gas or belching.  One should  wait several wks for resolution.
