: it means there is a nodule, lesion abnormal area that needs further assessment . May need CT of  chest or MRI and follow up with  pulmonologist as may want to due biopsy. May be granuloma  as in infection like histoplasmosis or TB or may be tumor.

Really only one part: Theres an anterior and posterior wall, but there's really only a trachea.  The carina is at the distal end where it terminates into the right and left mainstem bronchi.

Needs exam: Do you have a thyroid problem??
The thyroid gland is often larger on one side than the other or a thyroid nodule may be causing the tracheal deviation!  An ordinary physical exam can determine the above...if negative a chest x ray is indicated!
